Samsung Galaxy Note 8 vs iPhone 7 Plus vs S8 Plus - Battery Drain Test! (4K)!

How long has this guy had the Note 8 that he's already smashed up the top right corner? And, no offense to him and to people who find these useless battery test videos helpful, but of course the S8+, and especially the iPhone 7 Plus, are going to die earlier. Unless they're brand-spanking-out-of-the-box-new that is, which I doubt very much they are. The S8+ has been being used since late March or early April and the iPhone 7 Plus since last September. So yes, of course those batteries aren't going to hold up well to the virginal Note 8. Dumb.

I don't know when he got the Note8, but he's had it long enough to do a drop test...

The S8+ should have smashed the Note 8 in the comparison. Given the battery on the S8+ has gone through a few power cycles and was designed to loose only 5% charging capacity after 2 years and has 200 more mah. The Note 8's battery isn't completely optimized yet so for to to do as well as it did is pretty remarkable... In my opinion.

No. The note 8 has been better optimized for the battery than the s8 plus. It's been discussed many times.

It is useful. It has nothing to do with the iPhone or S8+ though. I'm looking at the numbers of the Note 8 only.

I know, come on, Sangs - you are nit-picking something that is just supposed to give us a general idea. It's not an attack on anyone or any thing. I can't imagine the 8+ lost too much battery performance in a few months, but if it makes you feel better - ok, it wasn't "fair" . :-)
However, it was of interest to me - even if you only consider the Note 8 performance at 100% screen brightness.

Exactly that! S8+ and iPhone battery life were of no concern to me. I watched just to see what N8 sot is. I'm more than satisfied as I never use 100% brightness for any extended period of time.

initial results look promising but i'll hold out til at least a software update or two is rolled out. hopefully there'll be a good promo for the holidays:)
