Samsung galaxy S ( 2010 model) green robot with white box and yellow arrow on startup. It won’t boot, will show the Samsung name on start up then immediately go to this symbol picture of the Android green robot in front of a white box with a yellow arrow coming out. I wanted to try and avoid a full hard reset because I haven’t been able to put the photos onto an sd card. Any suggestions or help?

Welcome to AC!
Unfortunately with a device in that state and how old it is your chance to get photos are none , you should of had them back up in multiple places especially important stuff.

Welcome to Android Central! Just to be sure -- the phone didn't have an SD card to begin with? If so, remove it and plug it into your computer to see if the photos were already saved there.

Thank you for answering! I should have backed them up, I may have at one point but had a house fire and that computer I may have put them on is now non existent. I hadn’t turned the phone on in 9 years and yesterday while cleaning, found it and decided to charge it. Was able to turn it on and it booted right up and I viewed the photos, began the process of sending to the sd card, it then force stopped every program and went to that screen with the white box and green android bot.
