For a week now my s5 automatically changes wireless network settings to the following :
proxy manual
128.0.0.1
3128

I have never fiddled with these settings and confused as to why the phone would change these? Any help please.

Welcome to Android Central! Is this your home wi-fi network? You could just forget the network, then connect again. Does it keep changing the settings even after doing that?

Thanks for replying. Yes even after telling it to forget settings it might work for a while but always returns to the manual proxy settings.

What about with other wi-fi networks besides your home one?

all other devices are functioning normally. I just told my device to forget the network, then turned off router and my phone. Then rebooted both. The issue usually happens around the same time each evening. I wonder if kaspersky on my phone has anything to do with it?

Interesting thought. You could try uninstalling Kaspersky temporarily and see what happens.

I think that's a good idea. I will let you know tonight, that's when it happens. Thanks for your help.

well, I experienced the same situation, no wireless due to changes in the phone settings. I uninstalled kaspersky and my phone was immediately reconnected with my wifi.

Either keep Kaspersky off your phone, or dig deep into its settings to see if there's something that's turned on that needs to be turned off. Also, email the developer and see if they're aware of this issue: kisasupport@kaspersky.com
