Basically, I've noticed on the Phone screen and on the Clock screen, there seems to be this "Light Bleeding" effect near the power button. I went back to the Sprint store and confirmed that it's an issue as their display device had the same problem, and a new device they opened had the same issue. I don't know if it's just a bad batch of phones, or if this is some sort of software issue that'll get addressed in an update.

Anyone notice this?

Interesting. I hadn't noticed it, but mine does that too, and only on those two screens.

However, I believe the effect is intentional. It's meant to tell you there are more options to the right. If you slide the bar, you will then see the same effect on the left side of the screen. In other words, its not a screen defect.

I dont think that is a light bleed,I believe there might be another option that you can select on the those particular screens. Try to scroll that top menu from right to left and I bet another box apprears... Funny thing might happen, a simialr affect will now appear on the left side... Check it and advise.

Bingo

By the way you can type *#0*# into the dialer to enter a LCD Test mode. THAT should tell you conclusively whether or not your screen has any bleed going on. My screen is perfect.

grrrrrrrrr light bleed.
A HTC trade mark I FREAKING HATE IT! < a little emotional there.
I went through 3 EVO 4Gs before finally finding one that didn't have it and 5 EVO 3D no luck finding one without it.
1st thing I did after taking GSII out of the box was look for it.
No bleed here :)

Not bleed its a highlighter. That bar can be scrolled left and right.
Scroll bar to the left highlight will display on left side

It is just touchwiz bling. Normal, just a visual cue you have more options unseen :)

Ah, ok! This is my first Android phone, coming from BB, so I had no idea. I even went to Sprint, and the tech didn't know (not surprisingly). Thanks for clearing this up!
