Samsung Galaxy S22 Pro Cannot Suppress Spam

Phone app, Settings, Block Numbers, "Block calls from unknown numbers" is enabled, yet I continue to get fraudulent spam calls from numbers not in my Contact list. Last week, Verizon activated "Call Filter" app, which had no effect on the fraudulent spam calls. My wife's iPhone has no problem directing all "unknown" caller ID calls to voice mail. Why cannot I do the same with my Droid?

Welcome to Android Central! If you only want calls from people that are in your Contacts, then you could always turn on Do Not Disturb, and set the exception to allow calls and messages from people in your Contacts.

I have gone to Settings, Notifications, Do Not Disturb, enabled Do Not Disturb, then for Calls and messages made exceptions for "Contacts only".

Make sure you also make exceptions for any apps that you typically want notifications from.

How about blocking all calls from unknown numbers in your phone settings? You'll just need to toggle this on.

FYI, the OP did mention they had that setting enabled, and still received spam calls.

This should definitely work, is this a Verizon model or unlocked on Verizon?

I reply with "If you don't stop spamming me, I'll vote straight ticket for the opposing party. STOP" I get an immediate reply. Then it starts again.

I have the same issue and I'm on AT&T. I also have the block unknown numbers clicked on and i still gwt the calls. I thought it was just another broken AT&T feature. Lol
