Hi! My friend brought her Samsung Galaxy S3 for me if I could repair it. She came back home from a walk and saw that the phone was rebooting itself on a loop. So basically Samsung logo comes up and after a few seconds it reboots again. I tried to open the phone in the Safe Mode, but it keeps rebooting and won’t let me to do that. The goal is to recover phone numbers from the phone memory which has not been backuped anywhere. I have tried different battery and made sure that the charging slot is clean. Could this be caused by a third party software/virus or is the problem most probably caused by the hardware? There has been no water damage nor dropping it. Even if the phone numbers couldn’t be recovered, it would be sweet to know the problem just for interest.

Hi, welcome ,could be firmware corrupt which means either flashing it again or try factory reset but also hardware and software are becoming obsolete. If you thing save data from it will be tough , not sure on older Samsung phones you can use this to remotely back up the phone like u can on newer ones . But try it here .
