Samsung Galaxy S3 mini

I am new to this site. I am looking to purchase one of these off Amazon and I wondering how well they hold up, or should I go with the standard size. I prefer the smaller phone, But I don't change my phones that often. Is the Amazon deal very good in your opinion? it is around $300. Thanks for your input.

Update 8-20-13. Having had my S3 Mini for about 6 months now, it is persisting in giving me charging problems as of last week. I need to remove the battery and reboot before and after each charge in order to maintain a decent level of power and to recharge the phone. NOT happy about this, I would love to keep liking this phone, but this is the next thing to being a brick. I bought it in the US via Amazon, so I don't think I really have a warranty since it is a EU item. Any thoughts on this? I no longer can recommend this phone, this situation really sucks.

Have had my s3 mini 3 days now. I thought it was the right price compared to other phones of same caliber on Amazon. Youtube to find out how to change language to English, mine was in German, not a big deal. Find an App to make background and homepage black to conserve power. Screen brightness, good indoors, have to tweak it to make it readable outside sunny days though.
