Yesterday my phone crashed then got stuck in the reboot loop for an hour. I went home, plugged it into my computer and it would then turn on and stay charged. I unplugged it, texted my mum and as soon as I hit send it started the reboot loop again. I went to my schools IT and they were unsure of what to do. We tried a few things we found on forums and nothing has solved it.
I have tried the following: every solution for a crap battery(It's not the battery), a faulty SD card(I took the SD card out and it still kept looping), safety mode(it boots to the lock screen in safety mode but as soon as you swipe to unlock it shuts off and begins reboot loop), I've factory reset my phone, cleared the cache, left my phone plugged in for 24 hours, tried the power button being stuck solutions and I went to the Verizon store. The employee said that I was her 8th or 9th customer to come in that day with that problem and it was due to a recent update. She said many people with iPhone 4s and Galaxy S3's were experiencing this problem and the only solution was to upgrade to a newer phone. The s3 I have is old, as in from the month after it came out it's been used by someone in my family. I didn't drop it, I just simply opened an email from Amazon and this started.
My phone will charge, and the only time I can get past the lock screen is if my phone is plugged into my laptop and even then it'll only stay on for about five or ten minutes then crash and start the reboot loop.
Thanks for any help.
Also, I'm a Verizon customer. Just thought I'd reiterate that.
