Samsung Galaxy S4 help

I have tried over and over to install the lollipop update through the system update as required but yet they haven't sent me an automatic update for it yet I just went to settings and tried. It goes through the whole updating part then shuts off to where it's just the Samsung galaxy 4 screen and it is in the last stage of booting and around 38% evertime it tells me that it didn't update because it has been interrupted. Note that it's not the WiFi because I have done it in two places with strong WiFi connection. I don't even touch the phone when it is in the process of updating. So how come it tells me every time that it has failed to updated because of it being interrupted? What is the problem? My carrier is AT&T by the way.

Welcome to Android Central! Can you clarify--you said that they haven't yet sent you an automatic update, but then it seemed like it was trying to update? Or were you attempting a manual update using Odin or Kies?
