samsung galaxy s4 keyboard lag

Hello im using the Samsung galaxy s4 while typing on apps (facebook, text messanger etc) the keyboard really lags, this is a newer development as ive had the phone for many years but seems to be getting a lot worse. ive cleared history, cleared cashe installed new battery as old 1 died fast, don't have a lot of open apps, but still having the issue. other than downloading a new keyboard is there a fix?

Welcome to Android Central! It's worth testing another keyboard app to see if the same problem happens.

When you say you cleared the cache, do you mean the Samsung Keyboard's app cache, or the system cache partition?

hello, I only new of a system cashe and clear that often as it also effects web pages. I have tried several different keyboard apps as well and they don't lag as long but still there. I don't have a lot of apps and will usually remove when done with the app unless its 1 I will use often like banking app or ebay etc but not a lot of games etc. And last summer I did a full system reset because of a virus/hack app I was running at the time, ever since then I have had this keyboard lag problem as well as my old pictures are in a backup folder but not accessible anymore (not sure if problems are related)

Any battery-saving modes turned on, or 3rd party battery-saving apps installed? How about "RAM booster" apps?
