So I tried to root my Samsung GS4 I9500 international factory unlocked phone. I jammed it up and it wouldn't start. I am currently in Thailand so I brought it to one of the local shops who said he could flash a stock rom. I stood there and watched him use Odin to flash. He handed the phone back to me and everything looked good. I asked him to root it and he said ok and hooked it up again. Flashed and tried to check for root, no good. I paid the fee and brought the phone home. All my Apps and data were in tact.

The problem is that my GalaxyS4 had 16 GB of storage this morning with about 12 or so free. Now I have 8.9 GB storage with 3.8 free. Seems I lost half of the storage.

Any ideas please?

I am hesitant to try a factory restore as I might have to visit my man again. Who knows if that info is even still available.

Thanks in advance

Jim

You let some random Thai shop flash firmware on your device? Oh man.

Did he flash your countries firmerware on it?

I was walking around with a brick in my pocket. I did what I had to do.
It is the international version. So I am not sure what country's firmware I had. I thought he would know maybe from the IMEI.

Take it back. I am sure they should have some sort of a guarantee right?

Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought the international Galaxy S4 was GS4 9505
