Samsung Galaxy S5 black screen

[AC Question]

While watching a video the screen of my samsung s5 suddenly turned white and then black and then white again. I can still hear my ringtone for texts and calls but i can't see them because of the screen. I just bought this phone recently and it was never dropped or anything. help please.

Welcome to Android Central! What happens if you reboot? Press and hold the Power button for about 10 seconds to force a power off, or simply pull the battery for about 10 seconds. If the screen doesn't come on at all when you restart, then it may have failed. Since the phone is new, either take it back to the store where you got it, or contact Samsung for warranty replacement.
