Samsung galaxy s5 fornt camer problem

Hi, I see a considerable downgrade on the S5 front camera. Colors seems to be washed out (purple looks black, red loses its tone), if the camera is kept close to the face, face looks elongated and somewhat alien like. Any recommendations/Advise? Did any one else observed this?

Welcome to Android Central! Has it always been like this on the phone, or did this just start recently?

Keep in mind that front-facing cameras will probably have a bit more of a wide-angle, since they're meant to be held at arm's length, and have to be able to include a few people in the shot. If you bring a wide-angle lens close to a subject, barrel distortion may become more obvious.
