AC Question

I've recently installed the Samsung upgrade and now I'm having all sorts of issues with my Galaxy S5. Before the upgrade, my internet browser told me which tab I was currently viewing at the top right. I could touch this and the other tabs would become available, meaning I could easily switch between tabs and close unwanted tabs. This function appears to have disappeared. At first I assumed I could now only have one tab open at one time. Then I started receiving notification I had reached the maximum number of tabs (50) and the oldest tab would close to enable me to open a new tab. I have read other posts about this and the answers don't seem relevant. The first question asked is "are you using stock or chrome?". I don't know what stock is, but I'm not using Chrome. I have been to my default application settings and it simply says "internet". Can anyone help me please?
