Anybody know if there is any difference between the samsung galaxy s6 and the duos? I am considering buying one and it is cheaper than the regular one by $60. I am wondering why? It is the sm920fd. 64GB

Hi - does it look the same as the S6? I can't find anything about the Duos apart from one that was released back in 2012 alongside the Galaxy S3

Duos is the dual SIM version that Samsung make for most of their phones. They use to be released on some specific countries but I haven't seen the S6 duos being sold already. I'm in Brazil and here there are just rumours about the release date. In which country are you buying it?

I learn something new every day :)

Currently there are 2 versions of s6 duo. One is 920FD which is basically same as 920F but with dual sim functionality. There is a another one for China, hk, Taiwan called G9200 which is dual sim but with Complete different modem as it supports more lte bands in China. Check the duo thread in xda General section.

Yes my wife has the S5 Duo which came out 6 months after the std S5, great device and handles dual sims intelligently no manual reboot switching etc

If the S6 duo had been available from day one may of got it over the S6 edge

The S5 duo got lollipop update I month before my old S5

My s6 is of the duos variant; it is the local version of the s6 here in the Philippines.

Is the s6 duos g920fd a full dual active or dual standby. Can you receive call on sim 2 white you are using sim 1? ( without call forwarding).

Or can you receive call on sim 2 while using data connection of sim 1?

Thanks.

Nooo it has to be forwarded otherwise it will be busy

Isnt that a problem if your using a local sim and a foreign sim. Since the forwarding will be very expensive.

How foes data work if i get a call on sim 2 will the 4g data still be active on sim 1.

My scenario:
Sim 1 data plan
Sim 2 voice plan

If im using the data connection on sim 1 (skype calling) and sim 2 receives a call. Will my sim 1 data connection be interrupted or will that still be active?

It is not a problem as long as you don't activate the forwarding since it is a forgien sim n u don't want to answer it anyway.

The data will cut off if u r using the other sim on a call. If your provider support vo-lte the data won't cut off as long as the call on the same sim with the data.

It's dual standby but not dual active. So if you receive call on 1 sim then the other will go to voice mail. Also data too can be used from 1 sim only at a time.

Hi!

Would anyone with Galaxy S6 Duos SM-G920FD be so kind to check in the settings menu and confirm if any firmware version has Bulgarian as an option for system language. It might be listed in cyrillic letters as Български.

Thanx a lot!
