Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus REFUSES to recognize contacts...

If I go into my 'people' app, I've got about 100 contacts saved. Cool. Go to messages, compose message to 'Jason', and Jason does not show up as a contact, even though I just saw him in the people app. This is the same case with about 50 other people. Some show up and some don't, even though I KNOW they are in my phone... Somewhere. This is really annoying and any help would be great.

What account are those missing contacts saved to? Go to the People/Contacts app, select one of the contacts that doesn't show up in your email app, and edit it. What account does it say at the top? Google, Samsung, or Phone account?
