I am having an issue with my Verizon Samsung Galaxy S6, that is currently running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. When I go to Settings > System Updates, I click on "Check for system updates" and I get a window that asks me if I want to download the Android 7.0.1 Nougat update. I click "Yes" to download the update and a loading bar pops up in the notifications section of the drop down menu. I wait for about 30 seconds and then the loading bar disappears, I go back to settings to restart the download but it throws an error saying that the download was interrupted and that the download will restart shortly. I wait again nothing happens, after about a minute or two I go back to settings and when I click on system updates, the same window with the "Check for system updates" button pops up. At the bottom of the window there is a message that reads "Last system update: Software not updated to (serial number) Failed - October 4, 2018 at 9:47am Error code: 500". As of right now when I click "Check for system updates" I get a window that says "Service unavailable - Software update is temporarily unavailable. Try again later.".
I went into Recovery Mode wiped the cache partition on the phone and tried downloading the update again but didn't work. I then factory reset the phone and still, the update would not download.
