Samsung Galaxy S7 Annoyances

So I have had my Samsung Galaxy S7 about a month and to be honest completely hate the Touch Wizz internface as to why Samsung think this is any good is beyond me, why change the vanilla Andriod offering with this crap.

Issues:

* At first the phone was notifying me about notifications that I had missed. So turned this off. (IE it was notiying me that I had a notification waiting (Dobule notifications) ).
* When I put the phone into Airplane mode I still get notifcations from Google Handout
* When I put the phone into "silent" bit of a clue there Samsung I still get notifications from Google Handouts

So I am not best pleased with this phone I would be tempted to sell it and buy a Pixel or a Moto G5 Plus with a clean andriod version on them or an iPhone anyone know how to fix these issues?

And no I don't want to root it I have better thigs to do with my time. Besdies everytime I have ever done this actually made the phone worse and more unreliable.

Nova launcher is what a lot of people use. It's the first app I put on a new phone.
The S7 has a myriad settings, you can adjust the same thing from four different places, so if takes a while to learn how to get the most out of it.
That said, it's the best phone I ever had especially with the Marshmallow software. Not so fussed about Nougat to be honest.
In any case, android is about the option to tweak you device to your hearts content, if you just want to turn it on and go, maybe apple devices suit your needs better.
You also have a easy mode in the S7, which simplifies the UI a fair bit, you could try that perhaps.
Notifications can be totally killed or limited on an app by app basis, you just have to find it all and do it.. That's an easy issue to fix. Settings... Notifications... Advanced notifications....
