Samsung Galaxy S7 lock screen greys out?

[Android Central Question]

Hey all,

Would anyone have an idea to solve this?
I can lock my phone and it goes to sleep (screen off), if I press the home or power button to awaken it (screen on) and do nothing, the screen goes from being vibrant colored (on the lock screen) to dimmed grey... and won't naturally go back to sleep.

Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution?

Welcome to Android Central! Go to your system settings -- is Developer Options turned on? If so, make sure Keep Awake is off.
