I would contact Smule. It's possible they don't have support for the MIC on Android 7, or something with the S8

Hi.

I have the exact same problem with my Samsung Galaxy S8 plus and send an email to Smule. The automatic replied email said it could take several days before they could answer my problem. It sucks that it doesn't work (jet) but glad to read i am not the only one with this problem. Hopefully they have the problem solved soon, because i am a Sing!aholic and i need my dope!

I bought Samsung s8 just yesterday for doing video recording with Smule... I was using Samsung j7 earlier (old one).... The only issue with that phone was that it was not supporting video recording... but s8 has disappointed me in the sense that the audio recording Mic is not catching properly... We have to keep Mic as closely to our mouth to get our voice register... this is giving problems especially when we sing lower notes and notes which we don't want to sing aloud!!!! I would request either of Smule or Samsung to resolve this issue

I agree with these statements and not only that, but i had to re-purchase my vip account when i bought my S8 and then couldn't even use it after. Not only that, but you can't save your videos on your phone or share them to instagram with the s8, but with an iphone you can!

do you know how long this is going to take? i just had to repurchase my VIP pass for the month and can't use it and if I can't use it for this whole month, then I would like to get credited for it.

Here is some quick fix i found myself incidentally..
while recording if you realize the mic is not working, immidiately lock the screen then unlock it, the mic will be working after 2-3 second, sometime it takes to do another lock and unlock, then you can restart the song and mic will be working properly... this will continue for several song until th problem recur, then lock and unlock your phone again. for now this fix works for me

Syarif, if you email Smule with that information, it might go a long way to helping them solve it. Reproducing a problem or a solution is always a big help in troubleshooting. (It could take them months to just happen to find out what you've already found out.)

Here I am facing same issue that Smule sing not supporting on my galaxy s8, mic should keep near by lips and while humming need to keep between nose and lips, except Samsung other brand no issue.

Here is some quick fix i found myself incidentally..

Minha situação é igual a sua. Eu tinha um j7 e não funcionava vídeo. Comprei esse s8 que é top e não funciona o som. Foi pior. Impossível usar. De algumas pessoas funcionam normal. Não sei o que fazer.
