Samsung galaxy s8 not recognising my pattern unlock

Has anybody got a fix on samsung galaxy s8 plus not recognising the pattern you put in. It was working one day and not the next day I can still get in with my finger print by if I turn my phone off I need to unlock the phone with the pattern

Hi there,
Did this ever get resolved? My S8+ has just done this for the second time. Luckily i'd registered the phone on the Samsung find my phone, otherwise I don't think I'd be able to unlock my phone.
When it goes wrong, the lock screen pattern is not accepted, it no longer says to wait after a number of unsuccessful attempts to unlock and can't switch the phone off as you need to enter the unlock pattern, which it is not accepting!
Can anyone help please
