Samsung Galaxy SM-T337A (Samsung Galaxy Tab 4) failed root resulting in device being bricked

A family member of mine bricked his Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 bricked his Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 trying to Root it, and now whenever it is powered on it gives the message " System Software not authorized by At&t has been found on your tablet. Please turn off your tablet and go to the nearest At&t store for help." Of course At&t will not help with this issue, so I am headed down what I am sure is a long path to try to recover this thing. Un-rooting Android devices is not my specialty, so I was wondering if anyone here at Android Central may have an idea of what course of action to take with this and maybe some links to software I will need. Any help is appreciated! Thank you in advance!

I actually did the same thing. I ended up finding the stock image and flashing it with Odin and it fixed it. My tablet has the unlocked symbol now and says custom, but it isn't and the know isn't tripped. I believe I still have the stock image file on my laptop if you need it. Just let me know.

Here is a link to the software you need.SM-T537A 5.1.1 OTA File - Post #606

Just put it on a SD card and boot up to the bootloader, then install from SD card. You will be up and running in no time. Let me know if you have any issues and I will help if I can. Also, format the SD card first so it'll be easier to find the file once you put it on there.
