Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 not turning on

brand new tab 3 totally used to 0%, went to charge, no light, but left it over night. Tried to turn it on, and nothing! have tried holding on button and others at the same time, still zero life? Very disappointed in samsung, my first samsung device and its crap. My HTC devices are great, nearly two years ive had my phone (one X) and its still goin strong, and Im a tradesman too, so it gets beaten
Please help, the tab is my daughters and shes devastated

Have you tired charging the device again, What i am feeling is it might be because of the battery !! or i don't know exactly ....

I read this in a review on amazon. I alao have a galaxy player that once you run its battery all the way down it is reluctant to come back to life. Try to plug and unplug charger?? Try a few more times?
