Is the new Samsung Galaxy tab A with S pen 2016 the closest thing we will ever get to a note 12.2 replacement?

I hope so, although I love my 12.2...I don't think it's getting MM too soon and an updated S Pen would make my life perfect. I am just happy they are continuing to make S pen devices, I was scared that there was NO tablet on the horizon!

Right now I believe it is only available in South Korea

You're right, just saw it at Best Buy BUT they only offer it with WiFi and only with 16gb of storage (micro SD card available for memory expansion)

The specs aren't the best, but the updated Spen works just like the defunct Note7 did.

UPDATE:

I bought the tablet and returned it the same day the screen was terrible, I could see every single pixel, too bad.
