Samsung galaxy tab pro 8.4 battery

I have a Samsung Galaxy tab pro 8.4 and it's beggining to look like I need to replace the battery because it drains completely in about 40 minutes from a full charge. I couldn't find the battery specific for my tablet on the shopandroid.com website. When I search for the battery, are there specific key words I should be typing? I just don't want to order the wrong one or the wrong size. And if there's a website you can reccomend, I'd love to know about it.

I was having the same issue. I rooted my Pro and installed Greenify. Now the battery life is amazing. Try that first. It's very simple to do. Takes about 10 minutes.

What are you doing with your tablet during that 40 mins? Are you watching videos or playing graphics/CPU intensive games? My Pro 8.4 tablet will work for hours while I stream videos from my Plex server over WiFi, and I play games like Plants vrs Zombies for 30 minutes at a time. No issues with battery life for me. I wonder if you have some rogue app draining your battery in the background?

Is your tablet WiFi only, or does it have a cellular connection? Do you have locations turned on and it's trying to get a GPS signal? Just trying to think what could be draining your battery so fast. Or, like you've concluded it could be a bad battery.

Are you sure it's actually charging properly ?
Try another charger...and cable..maybe

Mostly, I play Clash of Clans and Boom Beach. I use wifi, no cellular service, and I turned GPS off.

I tried usin a charger from a Kindle fire HD per yours and others suggestions and oh my george it worked. My battery drains much much much slower now! Thanks for your suggestion!

Any chance you could be a wee bit more specific? Where do I get Greenify from?
