Samsung Galaxy Tab S (10.5 Wifi) - Rooted Device but SuperSU Binary Needed Updating....then crash?

Recently tried to root my Samsung Galaxy Tab S (I am not allowed to post links yet so I'll just say the site is techbeasts)

I believe I went through these instructions and followed them all precisely.

This method also installs SuperSU on my device..

However, I tried checking the root status with Root Checker, and it says "verification failed"

I then checked SuperSU, and it said something along the lines of "binary needs updating". I tried the "normal" method for doing this twice, but it didn't seem to work. There is an option presented in SuperSU to do this through TWRM or CWM, so I tried that option. ( NOTE I do NOT have TWRM or CWM installed)

** Now, however, whenever I start the tablet, a whole bunch of messages came up saying "unfortunately, ____ stopped" and a whole bunch of these are there. I'm sure this is a crash.... **

Any help on getting back to working state? My thinking is to try and re-root the device, or otherwise putting back the factory ROM.

(As a last resort, I will use the factory reset option from the recovery mode on the tablet, and wipe the whole thing clean...)

Not that this is going to help your particular situation, but I have not been successful in trying to root my galaxy tab s either.

I managed to get it back to "working state" by using the recovery partition built in. :)

The backup process saved all my apps, so all I really lost were a few pictures (which weren't that important anyways).

I am looking into rooting this tablet still. Found another set of instructions that are meant for Android 5.0.2 lollipop...

After following instructions to root this Samsung tablet I found that supersu did not work either and I was also unable to update the binary.
I also cannot get su permission from the Android terminal emulator. I still have the $ sign instead of the # sign.
The instructions for rooting this tablet, found on another thread in this forum, appeared to work. But nothing shows but I actually have superuser permission in anything.
