Android Central Question

I went to sleep one night, next morning I woke up and my Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7, a device in which I have never done anything like rooting on (whatever rooting is), simply refused to turn on correctly. Instead I get the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 'static' boot screen which then eventually switches to an empty screen with these exact words, or error messages:

Could not do normal boot.
ddi : mmc_read failed
ODIN MODE: (HIGH SPEED)
PRODUCT NAME: SM-T813
CURRENT BINARY: Samsung Official
SYSTEM STATUS: Custom
FAP LOCK: OFF
WARRANTY VOID: 0X0
QUALCOMM SECUREBOOT: ENABLE (CSB)
RP SWREV: S1, T1, H1, R1, A2, P1
SECURE DOWNLOAD: ENABLE
ERROR: Cannot read boot image header
Can't get fdt
download mode !!

And that is all that happens, the device will not boot into recovery mode, it will not let me factory reset, the only combination that actually works is volume-down and the home button, which lets me boot into download mode. Download mode is all I can enter. Nothing risky was ever done on this tablet, I just want my data to be ok. Please help!
