Question Samsung Gallery app "Stories" - how to turn off?

I have a Samsung Galaxy A15. I have a third party Gallery app that I use for my pics, and I have turned off all permissions for the Samsung Gallery app. But periodically, I get a notification that the Samsung Gallery app has accessed my pics and put together a musical pictorial of certain pics of mine (called Stories).

--How can this happen when all permissions for this app are turned off?
--And how can I stop this from happening again?

Thanks.

That will stop the app from telling me what it's doing, but it will still be accessing my pics and making "stories". What I want regarding this app is no more access to my pics and no more stories. Until that happens, I actually want notifications, because I want to know what it is doing.

Go into the gallery settings and uncheck anything you don't want it to be doing, since you already denied any permissions.

Thanks. Your settings interface looks a bit different than mine. And on the Samsung Gallery Settings screen, under the "Stories" heading, it shows only one thing: "Customization Service". And under this heading, it says "Not in use". And when I tap it, it takes me to a page where I can log into a Samsung Account (which I don't have and don't want).

So basically what it is telling me is that even though I have not chosen to "Auto Create Stories" and even though I have given the app no permissions to do anything except notifications, that the app is still able to access my pics (which I don't want) and make these "stories" (which I don't want)...

I get it but it's the stock app so not accessing your photos is probably not something possible to do since you are using the camera and I feel like that gallery should somehow be active for the camera to work properly, I know others can chime in but I think there was an app where you could disable Samsung apps on your phone including system apps I'm just not sure if it still works @mustang7757 ?

I suggested that option but I think he doesn't have that in his settings since he denied permissions but I was thinking of the app where you disabled system apps I just forgot the name of it

Sneaking in ... 😄

~~ I was curious & checked my Gallery settings on my Unlocked s24 Ultra. I do not have the option to toggle off stories. I wonder if that's new in One UI7.

~~ That being said, it's easy enought to find & disable in Package Disabler Pro. (y) Love that program.
