Samsung Gear S2 auto pairing issue, setting?

Just got my gear s2, so I know there's a connect range just like any Bluetooth device, however I notice it does not auto connect when to my galaxy s6 when I am back in range. I looked through watch setting and phone setting but cannot find if there is an option to set it to auto connect. I always have to go to my phone gear s2 app and connect it manually.

This is what i want to know as well. One of the most important things to me. Would be crazy if it didn't but i heard more than 1 person mention they had to pair it back by hand. : |.

Just order so i haven't tried myself yet.

I can't get mine to stay on stand alone. This is the only way I actually get notifications on my watch. I'm very frustrated and it seems impossible to get help. Open to any suggestions!
