Samsung Gear S3 Always On display for longer

[Android Central Question]

When I bought the watch, I thought "Always On" meant the second hand would constantly update. As an EMT, I need the second hand for taking pulse. As it is, the second hand comes up and disappears after 15 seconds or so.
Is there a way to extend that time to a minute or two?

So I was poking around and two thoughts I had were to extend the main screen time out of five a digital watch face that shows the seconds for AOD.
There may even be a watchface or there that will show the second hand on AOD and you just haven't found it yet.
You can get faces from Samsung and the Facer app. There are others, as well.
There are also apps that allow you to build your own face.
