Samsung GS4 unsupported files/videos

i have a 32gb sdhc card for my samsung and any movie that i put on the sd card wont play on my phone but if i put it directly onto the phone they work but they take up too much room to store them all on the phone. i have music on the sd card and plays fine. the sd card has been formated to ExFat.

Not that I've tried it, but what software are you using to play? Try MX Video, which usually plays things off of cards just fine and can be configured to look in various directories as a default.
