Samsung GT-i9500 3 pin battery?

I can't find this battery anywhere online. The problem is, it's square and has only 3 contacts.

Any suggestions? Thanks

My phone:

Samsung Galaxy S4
Model:GT-i9500, made in Taiwan by Samsung.
SSN: -i9500GSMH
Rated: 3.8 V
1300 mA
CE 0168

The battery states:

Samsung
3.8 V Li-ion, 11.78 Wh
2600mAh

Re: Samsung GT-i9500 3 pin battery?

Welcome to Android Central! By 3-pin, you mean that the battery has 3 contacts instead of 4? Is there a more detailed model number for the phone, besides GT-i9500? There are often more letters that designate regional hardware variations.

Something else to consider is that your phone might be a clone. Do all other S4's for Taiwan use a 3-pin battery contact?

When I search for that baseband, I find a bunch of posts about cloned S4's. These often have Mediatek processors instead of the Snapdragon or Exynos processors that genuine S4s have. Install and run CPU-Z, and see which processor it identifies. If it's a Mediatek, you have a clone, which explains why the battery hardware is different.

The other thing I notice is that the back cover in your photo doesn't look genuine, like here (from iFixit's teardown):

Thanks.

The CPU-Z states:

MediaTek MT6577 1.60 GHz
GPU Vendor: Imagination Technologies

Also, in the photo of my battery, that's not the back cover, it's the protective case I purchased. The back cover is white Samsung logo imprinted.

So, which battery would work in this phone?

Yeah, that's a clone, based on the processor manufacturer. I'm not sure how you'll find the right battery, since retailers won't be listing "replacement S4 clone batteries."
