I was browsing a Samsung Galaxy S6 today at Vodacom 4 U. I was interested to find out about the available space on the phone. To the shock of my life, it read 1.83GB of available space. I went to the application Manger to check whether there is a to increase this space and to my shock, so apps there are can not be unistalled. That means even of you disable it, you are still stuck with it. I'm really disappointed with this, considering that the camera there can take 4K videos, how does one survive for two years with 1.83GB of space. I'll never recommend it anymore, not the 32GB version. It's a waste of money. :(

The 32 gb version should have almost all of that open, unless somehow it is filled with movies or ???? Was this a new phone you were playing with, or someones? Maybe ram? I don't like the S6 either, due to no removable card and non user serviceable battery. But, something is wrong in this picture....

Also, store demo phones are often filled with extra apps. If you were to buy new, they would fetch one from the stock room, and it would only have the basic pre-installed apps, leaving plenty of free storage.

Most definitely. A consumer 32gb s6 should have around 20-24gb free. Demo models have lots of demo stuff added

I agree with woodyk, belodion and dpham on this one.

Especially because my sister recently got a 32GB GS6 and before I got my 64GB GS6 Edge I tested the 32GB version.

Store demo usually aways have extra stuff in the system for video demos and security, etc.
When I got my S6, I think I had around 20-22GB free could have been more but I can't remember now.

Welcome to the forums. It's also possible people put videos on the phone, too.

Welcome to AC - I had the S6, it came with 24gb out the box (I had the 32gb variant)

Yeah... NEVER read too much into store demo units. They are like rental cars... everyone beats on them, downloads who knows what. They are abused.

I think the S6 runs about 23G free on the 32G model. That's a fair amount of space and often more than enough for most (not all) people.

Welcome to AC. I had the S6, its a great device, but I always recommend getting the most storage your budget will allow. I tend to lean towards 64/128GB versions only especially if they are non expandable ones.
