Samsung j3 apps stopping and starting

I'm using a Samsung J3 with Gmail app. Some emails are being sent to recycle without me doing so. No scheduling etc just random. Can anyone suggest how to stop this.....?

More importantly perhaps..Ive also encountered issues with other apps on the phone also. Camera stops starts..... blue tooth etc...... wifi etc without requesting etc.... plus other similar issues. Can anyone help with this? I was told to backup and do a full reset and then 'vaguely' to check system apps..... but id already done a factory reset with no joy. My phone is new. A lot of the built in apps, i have been told you cant disable and i cant seem to alter permissions on them. Although i certainly didnt expect that to be the case. On sony experia you can disable everything caveat you may cause instability. But disable and many other functions of apps are greyed out on my phone. I havent installed much so Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Welcome to Android Central! Are you noticing any phantom touches? Or could you be inadvertently swiping away some of those emails?

First in terms of swipes. I do accidentally swipe but its highlighted instantly. So no its not me and there are no filters set up. Its usually when ive rechecked mail.

What exactly are phantom touches? I do notice often that the keyboard plays up in the sense that i definately press a letter and the key next to it pops up instead. I realise people inadvertently make errors typing but thats something else that happens constantly. Please find below another opinion....

Let's tackle these one at a time. First, there is no recycle in the gmail app. There is a trash folder. Is that where your mail is being sent? Or maybe a spam folder? I know Google has been making some adjustments recently about how mail is classified and some email that used to be okay is now either bounced or sent to spam.

Most of the time it's a misconfigured sending server, or a domain with a low sender score. If the mail that's getting moved is always from the same senders -- for example, all come from Yahoo -- then you might have to either whitelist them or adjust your security profile to be a little more lax.

Is this while you're actually using the camera? Connected to Bluetooth, etc? Or do you just see them pop on and off in the menu bar? A lot of times there's a power setting to put these to sleep when inactive and to wake them when the service becomes available. It would look like they are turning themselves on and off by themselves. Do any actual apps do this or is?

Sorry i meant the samsumg email app thats preinstalled. No whitelists or blacklists etc its pretty basic. No it goes to inbox then maybe later on a random email pops up in the recycle bin...... ive moved them back and another goes random time random mail. Nothing goes to spam. They are normal personal emails.....

2 regards camera and bluetooth i dont use them at all! They come on at random times. Camera (facing away) comes on full screen as if ive clicked on it. Bluetooth appears on the menu bar. And wifi as well.
And i constantly have to turn them off

For the email issue -- which email provider do you use, and do you know if you're using the POP3 or IMAP server? See here for more information about the difference: IMAP vs POP3. If you're using POP3, it's possible that some other device (like your computer or a tablet) is also receiving (and downloading) the email, which might therefore be deleting it from the server, and so it disappears from your phone. If you have other devices set up with the same email, see if the email is still available there.

For the touch issue -- are you using a screen protector? A poor quality or poorly-fitting screen protector can cause inaccurate touches and also "phantom" touches (which means that the screen registers a touch even though you didn't touch it. That could lead to unexplained app opening/closing, gibberish messages sent, etc.

Im using imap. The emails only go to recycle bin as far as i know. Even when ive moved them back they have been put back

No screen protector....... its definately software based. Please see my answer on another forum thanks.....

to be honest i feel there are far too many things happening for it be simple app settings. For example ive had issues with making calls... browser issues...... other app issues. But i'm trying to sort them out one by one. Im pretty sure its to do with sytem apps and the permissions.....

It is imap in regards to email. Does this need to be changed?

Regards camera it mostly happens when its on my person but has also happened when left alone. It has happened after ive forced stopped it in settings and regards gestures or quick launch ive turned anything relating to that off. Im unaware of gesture settings and cant find anything like that. I have turned off wifi syncing...android beam etc.. another example there actually.... android beam turning on by itself after being switched off. Thanks in advance.

Did you already try Safe Mode? I can't quite tell from what we've discussed so far.

I tried it once but it didnt seem to make a difference. As i mentioned in another forum, There have been too many issues for it to be simple app mismanagement on my end. What would do you suggest? If safe mode doesnt work that is?

In that case, it could be a problem with the firmware or hardware. For firmware issues, you could try reinstalling the firmware using Smart Switch or Odin (https://forums.androidcentral.com/a...w-flash-stock-rom-via-odin-new-interface.html). For hardware issues, you'd have to bring it to a repair shop (or contact Samsung if it's still under warranty).
