Hey guys,
I've been facing a problem with my j7 camera since i bought it i guess. I can't replace the phone though as i bought it from KSA and i'm currently in Egypt
whenever i use the camera the phone restarts, sometimes it says kernel panic upload and sometimes it stuck to the camera and i had to pull off the battery some other times it work when i take off the battery for awhile and i faced a strange problem due to the camera failure: when the phone restarts and i try to draw the pattern it tells me that the pattern is wrong and then i have to take off the battery and put it back sometimes the camera gives me camera failure message and whenever i open it apps start to force close automatically such as android core process , google apps, calendar , camera , contacts . i guess all the apps force close , and a few times the camera app just close without phone restarting or anything else
i tried all possible solutions and nothing seemed to be working
1-cleared camera app cache and data
2-took off the battery and put it back
3-wiped cache and dalvik cache
4-tried other camera apps
5-tried the camera debugging codes from the dialer
6-updated phone to marshmallow
7-stopped all google apps and services and other apps with the disable ability
8-and finally flashed the latest stock firmware available online
the phone ain't rooted , no cwm, and no custom kernels, other than the camera the phone is working great without a single problem
is there anything else i should try? thanks in advance

Welcome to Android Central! Is it possible that the seller might have sold you a different J7 variant onto which he flashed the J700h firmware (perhaps to make it more compatible with your local carrier bands)? Flashing the wrong firmware can cause various issues -- and if you flashed the latest stock firmware as well, you might have also used the wrong firmware, since that's the variant you thought you had.

Try installing an app like CPU-Z to see if there are any discrepancies between the hardware and the firmware.

Thanks for the quick response, tried CPU-Z and everything is just right. there ain't no discrepancies between the hardware and the firmware the phone model is samsung galaxy j7 SM-j700h and the firmware is the j700h SER release J700HXXU2BPK1 as depicted in the following screenshots

sorry some numbers are in arabic it's dad's phone and he set it to Arabic after flashing the firmware

Interesting. From what I can find on the web, the J700H (which is meant for the Russian market) is supposed to use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 SoC, not the Samsung Exynos: Samsung Galaxy J7 3G Duos SM-J700H/DS - Specs - Phone More. The J700H is also a dual-SIM phone -- is yours dual SIM?

This discrepancy still makes me think that someone flashed the firmware from a different variant. Let me ask our resident Samsung guru, ironass, to see what he thinks.

That's odd!

The firmware, PK1, is, as B. Diddy states, for the Eastern European countries whilst the latest KSA firmware is the earlier, PG4.

Can I ask you to install, free from the Play Store, Phone INFO ★Samsung★ and post the, "Product code", details that it shows.

is yours dual SIM?
Yup it's dual sim

Well, it would seem that although you purchased your Galaxy J7, J700H, dual sim, non 4G/LTE, model in KSA, it is actually showing the Product code for Russia, SER. This means that you are running the correct firmware for your phone's Product code after all.

I would suggest downloading and flashing the firmware you are running, to see if this corrects any firmware corruption that could be causing the issues you are experiencing. The firmware download and flashing instructions are contained in this link...

Model SM-J700H
Model name Galaxy J7

i didn't get what you mean by that line, i already flashed this firmware as i mentioned earlier in the thread
it wasn't the one pre-flashed on the phone when i bought it, the factory stock was "PG4" then i flashed the Russian "PK1" hopefully it would fix the problem but in vain! , or maybe you meant i should reflash it and check the results?
