(Samsung J8) How to turn off data usage warning and software update

-How do you turn off the 2GB 'data usage warning' and remove it from the notification bar
-How do you get rid of the software update notification on the notification bar

1. In Settings in the mobile data connection usually. (Exactly where depends on the version of Android.) Or just set it to 100GB or something.

2. By updating the software. It's eventually going to update, so you might as well allow it. (The only way of permanently getting rid of it is to root the phone, then freeze the updating app.)

For Samsung J8, the "Data warning at 2.00 GB" icon doesn't seem to interact?

Turn on mobile data first then
Settings > connections > data usage > billing cycle and data warning > turn off "set data limit"
