Samsung Keyboard is not responding

AC Question

The keyboard does not appear for any of my apps.

When I try to access the keyboard through:

Settings >> System >> Language and Input >> Samsung Keyboard

I get the error message:

"Samsung keyboard isn't responding. Do you want to close it?"

Available options are "WAIT" and "OK".

Neither seems to get me closer to a solution.

I have restarted the phone several times.

I have removed the battery from it twice.

Have you tried the following?

Settings app > Apps/application manager (tap on this) > Make sure its set to all apps and if you don't see "Samsung Keyboard" sort the apps by "System Apps" > Tap on Samsung Keyboard > Tap on Storage > From here, try just clearing the cache first and see if it works, but you can also clear data from here as well. Both of these should be solid options to try and fix your above issue. Let me know if that helps out!
 
Welcome to the forums. You can also load a different keyboard from your PC. Log into Google Play and you can load a new free keyboard. When you click install, the apk file will get sent to your phone.
