Sorry if this was mentioned, I don't think it was. When I choose the Android keyboard I have it set to turn off sound when hitting the keys. The Samsung keyboard seems to lack this option. Does anyone know if there's some setting somewhere that I'm missing?

Also, has anyone noticed that the Android keyboard doesn't really predict text that much?

You can't shut off that noise sadly. And the stock android keyboard doesn't predict text at all except for contact names. I'd recommend downloading gingerbread keyboard from the market.

Gotcha.

The touch sensitive keys at the bottom of the phone, they make a small sound when pressed, is there a way to turn that off too?

actually you can turn off the keyboard sound from the Samsung keyboard.....

go to settings, sound, and turn off "audible touch tones".

it does, however, turn off the dialer sounds when pressing numbers
