I found a link that shows a demo of how Samsung Media Hub will work when it comes out soon (sounds like it will coincide with the release of the Epic 4G). It looks like it will work over Wi-Fi. Now all we need is that micro-USB to HDMI converter to come out...

the tvout appears to use the dnla standard, which requires different devices that adhere, kind of a pitch and catch, or even peer to peer. I'm hoping maybe google TV box can be the converter, the hub for the phone, if I understand all this correctly.
I'm sure Sammy will make (more they have some) TVs that are to DNLA standard, but I'm not buying a new large screen just so my phone can feed my TV!
