Samsung mini 3 Lock problem

My S3 mini GT-18190N has a broken led screen. I need to get some information off the phone. However when I connect it to Kies it tells me the phone is locked and needs to be unlocked on the device. This I cannot do because of the broken screen. I really do not want to replace the screen as I am going to upgrade.
Any advise please
