A
Android Central Question
I have a Note 10.1 tablet GT-N8010 which has been updated as far as it will go (Android 4.1.2). It's now so far out of date that the Play Store won't even run any more. The tablet works perfectly well but can't update, nor can I install new apps as the Play Store doesn't work. Does this mean the tablet is now useless and destined for the landfill ? Is there no way to remove the existing software and install a generic Android that will let me continue to use the machine ? It seems a shame to throw out a perfectly working machine just because the OS is out of date. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
