Android Central Question
I have a Samsung Note 10.1 tablet (2014 edition) and I tried rooting it years ago. The root failed and now time has passed and I need to update the software because it has charging issues, but it says it CAN'T because the ''device has been modified.''
When I try a root-remover app, or a root-tester app, I am told I don't have root.
So I don't have root extras, but I'm not allowed to upgrade.
Sigh.
Do I have to do a factory reset? Can I EVEN do a factory reset? From what I read that retains the root, and since I'm... I dunno, HALF-rooted or something, I'm worried all my stuff would be gone and I'd still have this problem.
Ideas?
