Samsung note 8, recent apps icons, app icon will not clear

In my recent apps screen, at the bottom are the 5 icons. I believe these are from the most recently used apps. I have one one app that I never use, that is in this line up of icons. And I can't clear it out from there. I have tried opening 5-6 app in hopes to bump it out of the list, but it just stays. I have used the device care to clean and optimize the memory.

Memory (RAM) has nothing to do with that, because it's wiped every time you restart or turn the phone off. What you're seeing is kept in storage somewhere.

If you go into recent apps >3 dots right corner can turn those icons off on bottom. Called suggested apps
