Samsung Note 8 vs LG G7 ThinQ

[Android Central Question]

Which phone would you guys recommend I buy brand new between Samsung note 8 vs LG G7 thinQ,..I don't play games on phone,..your answers will be nightly appreciated

I'm a Samsung guy so my comment might not help lol especially Note . Can see what other members say . I believe LG phone business is pretty much gone now .

I wouldn't run either. And you're not buying either "brand new". If it's unused it's been sitting on a shelf for 3-4 years. I wouldn't do banking or anything requiring security on either - neither is getting security updates anymore, or they are soon to lose support for them.

Welcome to Android Central! If price is an issue, there are probably some good new and current phones that you can get for about the same price that a used/refurbished Note8 or G7 would go for. Definitely consider a Pixel 4a or 4a 5G, or even the older 3a or 3a XL.

Welcome to Android Central! My husband had the LG G7 ThinQ and loved it. He used his phone for heavy gaming and the battery held up for the most part. However, since the LG smartphone division is unfortunately ending its production of smartphones, I'd suggest looking for a phone where you can get more software updates and support for longer periods of time.

If you are going to go for an "older" model, the Pixel 4a is great and is a steal to get at the moment.
