Has there been any word on if or when Verizon will get the Galaxy Note? I think my wife would like one. Time to replace her crappy Fascnate...

Agreed, I don't think we will either. But, I was reading an article about the Note 2 yesterday, and had the same thought. Lets just hope we don't have to wait for the Note 3, like we did with the Galaxy S. :'(

There hasn't been any word yet but I personally think they will get the Note 2. Not having the GS2 last year cost them a lot of sales and I have a hard time believing they will make the same mistake twice.

Yea, I think so too. I was waiting and waiting and waiting for the S II and it never showed. I really had my heart set on it, but, settled for an X2. :'(

I personally am not a huge Samsung fan but did get the AT&T GSII (not skyrocket). IMHO it is a nice phone but overrated. But its hard to argue with Samsung's numbers, and ultimately that is what carriers care about. I'm not sure if we will see it before Christmas (depends on how fast other US carriers get it) but I would be shocked if Verizon passed on the Note 2

I have some Samsung products and have yet to be disappointed. And, Google must have some confidence in them to partner with them. I wish I had had one to see if it was overrated, but, I'm sure it's way better than my X2.

Yea, agreed. I would be sorta shocked as well. I'm okay if it takes some time. I'm not due for an upgrade until February anyway. :p

The X2 was an okay phone (never owned one but I have played with them a few times and sold several of them) but really they should have just skipped that one in favor of the Bionic since other than the metal shell they look a lot alike. Bionic guts inside the X2 case maybe?

For me personally the GS2 is just too thin to hold comfortably, and TouchWiz blows (easily fixed with a launcher), but it has a gorgeous screen and great camera :)

As for Samsung I think that Google chose them because of the volume of phones they sell and their strong supply chain so a minimal chance of supply issues.

Yea, agreed, it's just okay. I really wanted the S II, and, it was down to the X2 and the Charge. I went with the X2 because the Charge felt like a plastic cell phone toy and I didn't like the display, too garish looking. I would have gotten a Bionic, but, it didn't come out quick enough and I was unable to wait any longer for an upgrade as my ENV2 inside screen was completely broken, and, the outside screen was cracked and less of the it actually displayed anything each day. Eventually I wouldn't have had any functioning screen visible.

Never actually held one. I'm not crazy about TouchWiz either, but, exactly, just get a launcher.

Yea, that's a good point. I wish Asus would make phones. ;)

The Note II is going to be quad core? Has the issue been solved between quad core and LTE as yet?

Yes! Now to find my source........ I believe it has to be a quad Snapdragon, not Tegra 3. HTC apparently has something in the works too.
Looks like the Note II will use a quad-core Samsung Exynos 4412 processor.
Interesting info here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exynos
Please, just tell me the LG Intuition will NOT be the only phablet Verizon sees. I have been patiently waiting on the Note/Note 2....

Hard to believe that Verizon has anything else on their shelf after they sold their soul to Motorola to get the OG Droid a few years ago.

Yeah, in this day and age, it seems unusual for a top tier phone company to move so slowly on new devices and software updates. Obviously it fits Verizon's interest in some unknown-to-the-consumer way...
I bet though, that most consumers have no idea what is new or upcoming and just accept what their phone provider offers. It's the enthusiast crowd (like us!) that agonizes over these things...! LOL
