Samsung = Old Software

Samsung should join Microsoft in being late to the party for Smartphone software. I traded my Samsung Moment for an Epic 4G with Android 2.1 and here it is almost February 2011 and I am still on Android 2.1. Does this sound like a technology leader to you? With an excellent screen and most other things going for it, this is incredibly annoying. While there are worse things to have than 2.1, we know that the OS gets better with every release. I do agree with Sprint that Samsung is responsible...they should feel the pressure to do better.
Next time it is HTC for me, since they appear to do a better job in this department.

but this dead horse has been beaten so many times over. Yes the updates are slow, theres nothing we can do. If you're not happy with it, which is understandable, then switch phones. Honestly if you want updates fast i say get a Nexus phone. Theres only 2 now, thee N1 and NS, NS being a galaxy s phone like the epic, so go ahead with that.

Or you could try rooting and flashing roms. that held me over till the official 2.2 was released on the vibrant, and to be brutally honest here, the official update isn't even that great.

Flash is nearly not as big of a deal as Samsung taking away the 16GB of internal storage.
