Samsung or HTC?

I'm due an upgrade.

I've currently got the One M8 and have tried many custom ROMs.
I've read the one M9 isn't the best. I do use Xposed as well. I was never keen on the Samsung Galaxy range but I like the S7. So far...

In an opinion should I upgrade to the S7 or M10 or maybe the Sony Xperia Range.

I personally have given up on HTC. They have gone backwards in my opinion and have missed a lot of opportunities to do better. I myself have ordered the Galaxy S7 Edge and can't wait to get it.
