Samsung Pay/Android Pay and Paypal

I forgot that paypal can be used through Android Pay. I had set it up awhile back, but forgot about it since I ususally use Samsung Pay.

Has anyone heard any updates on WHEN the heck Paypal will be usable in Samsung Pay? Much prefer it there for points earnings during the month, etc.

Where can you//do you use PayPal in the brick and mortar world? I infrequently use paypal when I buy stuff online and it gives me the option of using PayPal and I'll use their PayPal credit, but haven't really explored how to use it offline... Is PayPal Credit like using a MC or Visa and accepted everywhere or do you have to look for PayPal logo like you do with ApplePay?

I uninstalled Android Pay when I set up the phone because I never used it with my old phones and decided to try Samsung Pay and never looked back because it basically works everywhere.

PayPal is available at Dollar General and Home Depot, those are the two brick and mortar stores I'm aware of. There is a button on the card reader at stores to pay with PayPal. You have to have the app because it will give you a 4 digit code to enter into the card machine. You must have GPS on because there is a list of stores in the area and you choose the one you're at and then the code appears. PayPal credit is just revolving line of credit not associated with any major credit card. However, PayPal does offer a mastercard but it's different than PayPal credit and you have to apply separately for it.

To answer your question. Nobody knows except PayPal and Samsung. Samsung said, "coming soon", but didn't say when. Yes it would be handy to have it.

Yay! Samsung Pay is unbeatable. My bank finally adopted it 2 months ago.
Use it daily.
I have a VISA and connected VISA Checkout with SP. Now when I do any online transactions and use VISA Checkout, it counts towards my SP usage.

LOVE it. I was able to use the Paypal card in Samsung pay a few times today withouit issue

Added mine today after hearing it was cleared for Android Pay. Works perfectly with Samsung Pay!
