Samsung Pay in USA?

I finally ordered an S2 (couldn't refuse Best Buy deal)--and am surprised that there's no update about using Samsung Pay. Only info I could find is that Samsung assured users it would be "early 2016" and with the first quarter of 2016 coming to a close, just wondering what's up?
And on the "meta" level, where does one go to find status updates like this?

I get a lot of info from Sammobile's website. All Samsung news, they seem to get a lot of early info.
