Samsung Pay Updater Not Working

Sigh, so last night after reading the Samsung Officially launched post, I opened the app and accepted the install/update. I did not enter my credit card though because it was downstairs and I was too lazy to get out of bed... you get the drill.

I just remembered the card activation, went to the app, and it is telling me that a new update is available. But when I try to download/install it, it fails. doesn't even attempt. The screen closes and I get a message that the Update Failed and to try again later. (that is helpful - NOT)

Am I the only one? I am on AT&T with a Note 5. Is there a way to force the update? (I did get the free stuff note - I wonder if this is a way to keep people from signing up for a charger? hahaha.
 
From what I understand you need the latest version of the app to get the email for the free gift. I also ran into the issue you have and think it is simply that the "circuits are overloaded" from folks updating and installing on the first day it is available. You may wish to try tomorrow.

I had the same problem during the beta. After lots of work with support and then with their software engineers it turned out to be an app named Lux Brightness. I removed it and have been fine ever since. You should contact SP support, they may have a list of incompatible apps. You can get to them via chat at the Samsung website. Click for live chat and then ask for Samsung Pay support and they will put you over to an SP specialist.
